Maryland Locksmiths Act

It is very important that when you are looking for a locksmith you find out if they are licensed. All Maryland and Virginia locksmiths are required to be licensed now, and are breaking the law if they are practicing with out a DCJS license.

The Maryland Locksmiths Act is effective Oct 1, 2009 and can be read and reviewed at

it will affect anyone who is working or intends to work as a locksmith in the State of Maryland.
